At Lifesong, children’s ministry is much more than “child care programming.” We view every Sunday as an opportunity for us to invest in the next generation, and more specifically, your family. Church should be a great experience for the entire family, and that begins with a children’s ministry that understands what is important to your family. We want church to be the best experience of the week for your children; which is why we work hard to make church fun and exciting – but most importantly, a catalyst in your child’s relationship with Jesus Christ. Proverbs 22:6 says,
“Train up a child in the way they should go, and when they are old they will not depart from it.”
Our desire is to come alongside parents as your partner in teaching children to honor and love God’s word and to grow in their love for Christ. We hope that Lifesong becomes a place that your family can call “home” for years to come. The information you’ll find below is intended to help you know what to expect from our children’s ministry. Raising up the next generation is not just a passion, but our responsibility. In the Old Testament, God commanded His people to impart His word, provision and love to their children for future generations. This command is at the heart of our NextGen Mission…
Encouraging children to grow, as Christ did and in relationship with Him. “Jesus grew in wisdom, stature and in favor with God and man.” – Luke 2:52 Loving them and showing them how to love. “Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind and strength…and love your neighbor as yourself.” – Luke 10:27 Inspiring them to live out their faith. “You are the light of the world. So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” – Matthew 5:14,16
Is it your first visit? When you visit Lifesong for the first time you’re encouraged to let your kids jump right into our great Kidsong environments geared specifically for them; so we’ve worked hard to ensure your children’s safety and security within Kidsong. There are three important things we want to equip you with for your first visit to Lifesong on a Sunday morning:
- Arrive Early: We recommend arriving 20 minutes before the main service time to get your children registered at our Kidsong Check-In Station and situated in their rooms.
- Check-In Right Away: As you make your way through our main entrance you will notice a large Kidsong sign in the main foyer. This is your family’s first destination. Directly below that sign is the Kidsong Check-in Kiosk where you can register your children and fill out our general information card. Our Check-In staff will be ready to greet and assist you through this process and even escort you to the appropriate Kidsong environments. This will make it possible for you to meet some people, visit thePress (our cafe) and get situated for the start of the main service without feeling rushed.
- Be Confident: Safety is our number one priority for your children, which is why we have a secure Check-In system and policies. When you check into Kidsong you will receive matching identification tags for your children and their belongings, as well as for you as parents. You and your children must have those matching ID tags in order to drop a child off before service, and show them again when picking them up afterward. If you happen to lose your Parent Tag, don’t worry, you can return to the Check-In kiosk to receive a new one before picking your child up by showing an ID to have one reprinted.

Kidsong Highlights There are three elements that are foundational to our ministry programming: Worship, Teaching, and Relationships. We want children to learn to engage God through passionate, high energy worship. Worship is how we honor God and express our love for Him, and it should be a blast! We not only teach children what the Bible says about worship, but also how to express their worship in a high-energy, engaging approach. We know that every child has a unique learning style and we utilize a curriculum that will connect with students on every level. Through illustrations, media, and engaging lessons, we want to present God’s word and Biblical principles in a relevant way that children will grasp. Worship and Biblical teaching are important and essential, but it’s the relationship between staff and children, established through the Sunday morning experience, that maximizes the impact they have. Your children should see our staff as their friends and biggest fans. Kidsong is a place where children should feel valued and loved because of the relationships they have with staff.
