Our Vision
To reach 2% of Metro-Worcester by helping people Know God, Live in Freedom, Discover Purpose and Deliver Hope
This is accomplished by…
…creating environments where people can experience the love and presence of God, grow in their understanding and experience of His purpose and plan for their lives, and be equipped to deliver the hope of Jesus to the world around them.
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three, known collectively as the Trinity, are coequal and co-eternal. God is the creator of the Universe and all that inhabits it.
Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. On earth, Jesus was 100% God and 100% man. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life. He was born of a virgin, performed miracles, died on the cross for mankind, and, thus, atoned for our sins through the shedding of His blood. He rose from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return again in power and glory.
We believe the Holy Spirit is God’s presence active in the world, guiding, comforting, and empowering believers to live in alignment with God’s truth. For those of us who receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior, He comes to dwell in us by the Holy Spirit, and it is through His Spirit that He strengthens, transforms, and equips us to walk in the fullness of God’s purpose and plan for our lives.
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. Every participant in its writing was inspired by the Holy Spirit working in and through them to record what God wanted His people to know and understand. In its original writing, it is infallible and inerrant, and it alone serves as the final authority for determining all doctrinal truth.
We believe that every person is created in the image of God and is designed with a divine purpose and plan for their life. Mankind was created good and upright, but, due to man’s choice to disobey God, humanity exists in a fallen state, separated by sin from God and His intended design. Our only hope is the redemption He offers us through His Son, Jesus.
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ: His death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or of any human efforts.
We believe that, while our physical bodies have a temporary existence, our spirit, the inner core of who we are, is eternal. Because we serve a God who values the free will He created us with, our desire to spend eternity with or apart from Him is up to us. If we choose to accept Him into our hearts and make Him our Lord and Savior – believing He died on the cross and was raised from the dead – we will spend eternity in Heaven with Him after we leave this world.
The church is the body of Christ. It is a spiritual family, united through our shared relationship with Jesus and our joint calling to reach the world around us with the Good News that God desires to reconcile humanity to Himself through His Son. God intends for believers to gather together for the purpose of growing in relationship with Him and unity with one another so that we can be better equipped to individually and collectively fulfill what He has called us to.
Our Beliefs

Meet
Our Pastors
David & Ginelle Payne
Pastor David and Ginelle, married in 1992 right out of college, have spent their lives in the local church! Ginelle is the daughter of pioneers of faith in New England, Ernie and Randa Frye, and David, a transplant from Kansas City, was raised by parents David & Nancy Payne who were deeply involved in leading and building the local church there. After years of serving her father’s ministry, and David’s corporate work, God called them to full-time ministry in 1999. Seven years later, they, and their three children, Ashton, Kelsie & Dakota, invited forty people to be part of launching a new, relevant, life-giving, church plant called Lifesong Church.
While meeting for an entire year praying, preparing and planning the launch of Lifesong, the prayer-bathed dream of a church community relevant to the lives of people, presenting the truth of scripture in a relevant way, caring for its community, and endeavoring to be a place where the Love of God is known and felt took shape; but there was no place to meet. After visiting the movie theater in Millbury with some friends, Pastor David was prompted to pursue it as our first church home! God opened doors and accelerated connections and with just a few months of final preparation to launch, Lifesong was able to open its doors at the Blackstone Valley Cinema in Millbury with 394 people showing up to worship, connect and pursue Jesus!
Since the very beginning, the whole family have given their best to honor Jesus with their lives through the local church! Now with two grandsons running around the church, their lives are more full than ever and they continue to lead our church, in the pursuit of reaching 2% of Metro-Worcester, helping them Know God, Live in Freedom, Discover Purpose, and Deliver Hope!
