What is LYA?
Lifesong Young Adults (LYA), is the young adult ministry of Lifesong Church, designed specifically for individuals ages 18–30. Our mission is to create a space where young adults can encounter Jesus while being anchored in community. We believe that spiritual growth happens best in the context of meaningful community. Whether you’re in college, starting a career, or navigating adulthood, LYA is a place where you can belong and be empowered in your faith journey. Join us as we pursue Jesus together and build lasting community!
FAQs
LYA Nights take place at the church from 6:30p–9p. These nights include some time to hang and chat, worship, and receive a word shared by both in-house and guest preachers. After the message, we spend some more time together enjoying good conversations over some better food.
LYA Nights aren’t quite on a ‘set schedule’. Currently, we have an LYA Night roughly one friday, every other month (so about 6 per year). However, we begin communicating about LYA Nights at least a month in advance to try and give everyone adequate notice to be able to adjust plans so that you can join us!
No! You don’t have to regularly attend Lifesong Church to attend LYA. However, we do know that relationships happen in the context of community. We’d encourage everyone that attends to get plugged in at Lifesong Church or, if you already have a church home, we would encourage you to nurture the young adult community at your church!
Nope! LYA Nights have no cost associated! If there is ever an LYA event that has a cost associated with it, we’ll be sure to communicate that clearly and well in advance.
Dress in what is comfortable to you! We want you to enjoy your time with us, encounter Jesus, and make some friends to do life with!
We believe LYA Nights may be the place you find community but small groups are where relationships grow! We have Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters of LYA Small Groups. These groups are open to any young adult, ages 18-30, looking for community! We have message review groups, financial groups, scripture study groups, young marriage groups, and more! There is a group out there for you and you can find one by visiting the Church Center App!
