The human experience is loaded with acceptance and rejection around performance, position, and achievement. As a result, we can carry that over into the way we relate to God – or fear His rejection of us. When the angels appeared to the shepherds to tell of Jesus’ arrival, our understanding of God’s acceptance becomes clearer.

Reputation – it’s the thing that people perceive about us, but it isn’t the REAL us is it? We can spend more time developing and protecting it, than we do becoming the kind of person we would want to be in relationship with – our character. Joseph had to deal with this same fear…

We usually think it’s only bad things that can strike fear in our heart, but that’s not true. It’s amazing how fear can set in from even great things too. What do we do to deal with fear in a way that is lasting and stable?
